The other big name aquarium in town, the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, features a walk through section, and 2,00 different animals, including, rays, sea turtles, jellyfish, and of course, sharks. Swimming with stingrays is a featured experience. Exhibits include a shark lagoon and pirate island, as well as some that are zone specific, like California Coast and Caribbean Cove. There are also donkeys, llamas, tortoises, and goats, as well as a mule-deer. It is not only birds that make a home at Gilcrease. Located right in the city, the Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary is home to several varieties of water fowl, such as ducks and swans, and other, more exotic birds, like parakeets, ostriches, macaws, and peacocks.
